Learning in XL Nation

Pixls make it easy for us to flow and find resources within XL World. Pixl stands for "Particle in XL" (It could also stand for "Profit in XL" and "Promise in XL" - as it is through these particles that we share knowledge, opportunities and connections). This page gives all XL Citizens easy access to find resources and all XL Leaders and XL Citizens easy guides to post, edit and share PIXLs between XL Circles and XL World.

XL Circles receive and transmit five primary PIXLs:
• Knowledge – Creating the XL Library (Scout)
• Opportunities – Creating the XL Opportunities Exchange (Guide)
• Successes – Creating the XL News Channel (Reporter)
• Measures – Creating the XL World Rankings (Treasurer)
• Causes – Creating the XL World Wide Wealth Directory (World Wide Wealth Ambassador)

The XL Library is a compendium of knowledge – the bridge between information and action. On the Internet we already have too much information. Every knowledge PIXL in the XL Library links information to practical knowledge on how Citizens and Circles are applying that information by turning it into specific action. In the comments section of every knowledge PIXL, Citizens and Circles are adding specific examples of how they are applying that information in action.

The XL Opportunity Exchange is a marketplace of wholesale value, where Citizens offer value in return for the value you can offer. Most of us have been educated in the language of requests, which is based on expressing what we need or the challenge we have – a focus on lack. The language of opportunities is based on expressing what we can offer or the value we have – a focus on abundance. There is a limit to what we can get but no limit to what we can give. Every need or challenge we have can be expressed as an opportunity.

The word ‘NEWS’ comes from the four directions of the compass: North, East, West & South: A reflection of what’s important in the world. Modern news has become the opposite: Not what’s most important, but what’s most trivial: trivia. The XL News Channel is a celebration and acknowledgement of the most important news that we can act on – the success we have and what we can share from our success stories that empower us all to replicate and reinforce our positive actions. To know and not to do is not yet to know.

Every Circle flows five PIXLs from XL World into their Circle and back to XL World. The first three above are the Knowledge PIXLs, the Opportunity PIXLs and the Success PIXLs.

The fourth Pixls are the Measure Pixls that make up the XL Scoreboard. These are a running total for the year (beginning on XL National Day on 31st March) for each XL Circle’s combined giving – cash amount donated, time given and resources given (an estimated cash amount). On XL World, the XL Scoreboard is a blog page linked to the home page, which has a score and rankings.

The fifth Pixls are the Cause Pixls that make up the XL World Wide Wealth Directory. Every cause that is supported by XL Citizens has an opportunity to be highlighted and supported by other XL Citizens. On XL World, the World Wide Wealth Directory is part of the groups section, where each cause is set up as a group by an XL Citizen or Treasurer.

These five PIXLs make up the global picture of XL World. These five PIXLs represent the social profit of XL Nation. Every time we add to this social profit, we are enabling others to leverage our value at a global scale. Every time we tap into this social profit, we are able to leverage the value that fellow Citizens and Circles have shared with us. Community derives from ‘communiere’ which means the collective sharing of gifts. This is the spirit of XL. Share often.
